Project case study
Measure 2000-2005
Websites for an arts organisation
Summary
Hosting and series of websites for a London Arts organisation
Objective
An innovative organisation coordinating exhibitions of artwork by young artists created in response to and exhibited in spaces outside the normal gallery setting in buildings of architectural or historic interest in London. Reviews and articles about the shows have appeared in London and National press as well as specialist art publications.
Solution
From their inception in the Millenium until 2005 I was responsible for their web presence. Specific projects included the previous company website which was built in a slick Flash interface appropriate to their audience. In addition, each exhibition required its own website to document the history of the building, exhibition location and the work that was installed for the show.
In 2005 I had to step back from such direct involvement as I needed to concentrate more on developing this business, so I returned development responsibilities back to them. After this I also organised the migration of all of their websites to new server space in order to ensure provision of hosting that has available the more advanced facilities that they are now beginning to need. I still retain management of their hosting and provide technical assistance as required.
